Kevin Morris

Head Boys Basketball Coach

Kevin Morris is a veteran high school basketball coach with nearly 30 years of experience and a proven record of building competitive, disciplined and successful programs across Georgia.

Since taking over at Jefferson High School in 2017, Morris has guided the Dragons to a 148-75 record, including two region championships and a state championship appearance. Under his leadership, Jefferson has consistently been among the region’s top programs, known for its team-first mentality, defensive toughness and efficient play on both ends of the court.

Prior to his time at Jefferson, Morris served as head coach at Apalachee High School from 2002 to 2017. There, he established a strong basketball culture and mentored numerous student-athletes both on and off the court. He also served as an assistant coach at Apalachee for one season before taking over the program.

Morris began his coaching career at Stephens County High School, working as an assistant from 1996 to 2000. During that time, he developed the foundation of the coaching philosophy that has made him a respected leader in Georgia high school basketball.

Passionate about player development, program-building and cultivating a winning culture, Morris emphasizes accountability, hard work and unity. He continues to make a positive impact on and off the court, helping shape not only athletes but future leaders.
